Club Rules

1.   MEMBERSHIP: A $15 Membership fee per person is required to become a member
and be eligible to fish in the Dixie Country Bass Club.

2.  ALTERNATE FEES: Non-Member alternate fees will be $10.00 per alternate. Limit 2
alternates per team for the calendar year. Alternates are not entitled to any club
benefits such as newsletter, etc.

3.  Club members from two (2) different teams may fish together providing that one
member pays the alternate fee of $10.00. Any points won by this team will be
awarded to the member’s team with the highest point standing. The other member’s
team will receive credit points as a tournament fished toward qualifying for
the Classic Tournament.

4.  Club Membership:  will be limited to 30 teams and will not be allowed to go beyond
the 30 team limit.

5.  New membership: New membership applications will be subject to the approval by
the current elected officers.

6.  There will be one (1) schedule club meeting to be held at the October Tournament
to elect new officers for the next year.

7.  All membership fees, alternate fees, all excess raffle proceeds and 12.5% of the
tournament fees will be used to pay for all Angler of the Year Trophies, or Jackets,
Club Equipment and Club Expenses with the remainder going to the Classic Jackpot.
$50 is to be retained for the next year startup expense.

8.  TEAM ANGLER of the YEAR: Team Angler of the Year Award will be presented
to the team with the most points at the end of the year, excluding the
“Classic Tournament”.

9.  CLASSIC TOURNAMENT: There will be a two (2) day Classic Tournament at
the end of the year. To qualify for the Classic Tournament a team must have
fished at least six (6) of the nine (9) Tournaments. Teams may buy 1 tournament by paying the $50 entry fee.

10.  TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES: will be $50.00 per boat, with all entry fees less
12.5% will be paid back to the First, Second and Third place finishers.

11.  PAYBACK: Payback will be as follows:
First Place – 50% of the entry fee balance;
Second Place – 25% of the entry fee balance;
Third Place – 12.5% of the entry fee balance.

12.  BIG BASS JACKPOT: There will be a Big Bass Jackpot, $5.00 per boat and Jackpot
return to the individual catching the largest bass. (This is included in the $50 entry fee.)

12A.  50/50 Raffle:  $5.00 per boat with 50% being returned to the winning number
drawn and remaining 50% to the Classic Jackpot. (This is included in the $50 entry fee.)

13.  FISH LIMITS:  Winners will be decided by total weight. The limit will be (5) fish per
team with no minimum length with FWC waivers. The golden rule will be the official
measure with the nose butted and the tail moving side to side. All fish must be culled
in the lake. No culling of fish at the scales will be allowed. If more than 5 fish are brought to the scales, the largest fish will be removed until the 5 fish limit is achieved. All fish will be brought to
the Weigh Master in bags with enough water to sustain the fish until weighed.

14.  TIES: Ties will be determined by the most fish and if still a tie largest fish.
Still if a tie, it will result in splitting the winnings.

15.  No more than (2) anglers per boat and all fish must be caught in a traditional
manner using artificial lures only. No live or prepared bait will be allowed with the
exception of pork rind, strips, etc. No trolling or wading will be allowed. All
traditional rods and reels including fly rods and flipping poles will be allowed.

16.  In the interest of conservation and preservation the following penalties will be
subtracted from the teams’ total weight for dead fish (this includes fish that cannot
be released alive to return to their natural habitat under their own power). Fish kept
for food or mounting will be considered dead.

a. ONE DEAD FISH – DEDUCT 4 OUNCES (.25 LBS)
b. TWO DEAD FISH – DEDUCT 8 OUNCES (.50 LBS)
c. THREE DEAD FISH – DEDUCT 16 OUNCES (1.00 LBS)
d. EACH ADDITIONAL DEAD FISH – DEDUCT 16 OUNCES (1.00 LBS)

17.  LATE PENALTY: A boat late for weigh-in will be deducted one pound per minute
and will be disqualified after 15 minutes. The only exceptions to this rule will be a
mechanical breakdown of the Big Motor.

18.  POINTS: Points will be figured accordingly. First place will receive 30 points, second place 29 points, third 28 points etc. Teams not weighing in any fish will receive 1/2 the points of the last boat that weighed in fish.

19. Teams “buying” a tournament will receive 1/2 the points of the last team that weighed in a fish.

20.  PROTESTS: All protests and arguments concerning the club or tournaments rules
will be decided by the officers and decisions are final and incontestable.

21.  There will be a one day entry fee for the Classic tournament, plus additional $5.00 for Big Bass.

22.  ALL RULES OF SAFE BOATING, COMMON COURTESY, SAFETY,
       SPORTSMANSHIP, AND CONSERVATION ARE EXPECTED FROM
       EACH TEAM MEMBER. FIGHTING, CHEATING, LITTERING OR
       ABUSE OF ANY CLUB OR TOURNAMENT RULES WILL BE
       CONSIDERED GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION AND
       IMMEDIATE EJECTION FROM THE CLUB.
